OUR STORY

Her Story

Parvathi - Paro for short - is your quintessential overachiever. She was Head Girl in school, Class Representative in college and has held several positions of leadership in work and life. Her obsession with traveling the world is slightly scary. No. Seriously. She counts the stamps in her passport every night before going to bed.

Paro has a penchant for theatre and has acted in over 30 plays. She is passionate about Kerala and and has gone to great lengths to teach Dhruva archaic Malayalam proverbs that are pleasing to the ear, but completely useless in day to day life.

Achievements:

Achieved a cumulative GPA of 4.0 in class XII. Felicitated by Vice Chancellor of Kerala University.

Fun fact 1:
Paro cannot say the word 'horse' without putting on an American accent.

Fun fact 2:

Paro's roll number in Class 10 was greater than Dhruva's cumulative marks average in Class 10.

Fun fact 3:

Paro is very scared of leaving ATM receipts lying around in public places. Every ATM receipt is torn into several tiny pieces and thrown into 4 different dustbins in 4 different places.

His Story

First off - Dhruv and Dhruva are both the same ruggedly handsome guy. He is half North Indian, half South Indian and proudly represents the United States of India.

Dhruv is a former professional chef, and secretly suspects that this is the primary reason Paro agreed to marry him. While his cooking is okay, his stand-up comedy is rather poor and he has been known to tell jokes that cause gastroenteritis.

A highly ambitious individual, Dhruv aspires to be happily retired by the ripe old age of 35. He believes that the one true God is Hyderabadi Biryani.

Achievements:

Dhruv was appointed Class 8B Library Captain (academic year 1997 - 2nd term)

Fun fact 1:

Dhruv used to eat ants as a child. Big black ants.

Fun fact 2:

Dhruv was locked inside a walk-in fridge in 2003 and had to do push-ups to stay alive. (This also happens to be last time he did a push-up.)

Fun fact 3:

Dhruv was India's 3rd fastest onion slicer in 2004. Unverified fact but is probably true.

Their Story

Dhruv and Paro bonded over a mutual love for food and travel.  They worked together briefly in 2010 and while Dhruv did find Paro incredibly cute back then, nothing ever happened. Fast forward - a year later - Dhruv changed jobs and moved to Bangalore, and decided to start flirting with Paro on Twitter of all places!

Dhruv eventually cooked Prawn Masala for Paro one day and the rest is history.
